This modern architectural and showroom concept focuses on creating an inviting and customer-friendly environment while maintaining a globally consistent identity for the Volkswagen brand. The adaptable design allows for site-specific modifications, ensuring each dealership reflects both brand standards and unique local requirements.

Our team plays an active role in guiding and supporting the design process in partnership with Volkswagen’s design collaborators, EVIEW360 and JLL. From early planning through project completion, we ensure that every element aligns with Volkswagen’s vision and operational needs. We oversee the coordination and seamless integration of brand retail elements sourced from preferred vendors, guaranteeing a cohesive dealership experience that embodies Volkswagen’s identity while addressing the individual requirements of each location.

Volkswagen of Fallston, Fallston, MD

Progressive Companies provided design and construction documentation for the renovation of the existing Volkswagen facility in Fallston, MD, for Sonic Automotive. The project included an image update to the showroom and customer-facing spaces, ensuring alignment with the latest Volkswagen Whiteframe facility design program. Enhancements included the addition of a new two-car service reception drive to improve customer convenience and operational efficiency. The customer lounge and service writers’ area were redesigned to reflect Volkswagen’s modern, welcoming aesthetic. The cashier and retail boutique were updated to seamlessly integrate the refreshed facility identity, while a new enclosed training room was constructed to support staff development. All furniture was replaced to meet programmatic design and functionality standards, enhancing the overall customer and employee experience.

Glenwood Springs Volkswagen, Glenwood Springs, CO

Working with Sonic Automotive, Progressive Companies led the renovation of the dual-brand Volkswagen/Audi store in Glenwood Springs, CO, to incorporate the latest Volkswagen Whiteframe design standards. The renovation focused on first-floor customer-facing areas, transforming the showroom into a streamlined and cohesive space. Updates included new flooring throughout, removal of angled and curved walls to create a more open and modern layout, and a redesigned showroom accommodating three display vehicles. The project also introduced all-new furniture in key areas, including reception, electric vehicle display, lounge, service cashier, coffee/retail area, sales and service manager offices, and finance and insurance offices. Additionally, the renovation featured refreshed branding elements such as updated office and showroom graphics, backlit displays, directional and office signage, and vinyl lettering on the glass front doors, reinforcing Volkswagen’s contemporary retail identity.
