As part of our work with our clients, we help facilitate the design process with GMA, their design partners, and other preferred vendors.

Lake Norman Genesis, Cornelius, NC

Progressive Companies partnered with Modern Automotive Network and Choate Construction to bring the Genesis brand to life in Cornelius, North Carolina. Genesis of Lake Norman is a 27,000-square-foot facility that embodies luxury, precision, and performance. Completed in under seven months, the dealership reflects the highest standards of the Genesis Retail Design Program (GRD v1.3) and delivers a refined, high-end customer experience that stands apart in the competitive luxury market.

The Progressive Companies team maximized every buildable inch while honoring Genesis’ signature design vision. The architectural layout is based on a strict modular system, defined by distinctive cross-shaped columns that support the visual transparency of the space and extend to the curtain wall system, mullions, and fascia reveals. These precise structural elements are complemented by strong horizontal lines that create a “floating” roof plane above the dealership.

At the heart of the dealership is a customer experience that is as elegant as it is functional. The flow of the showroom and service areas was designed for operational excellence, ensuring both staff efficiency and visitor comfort.

The iconic interior elements come together to define the Genesis brand visual experience and create a lasting impression, including The Brand Cube, The Brand Wall, The Gardens and the Customer Lounge. One of the most distinctive features is the indoor garden skylight in the customer lounge bringing natural light and serenity into the space while reinforcing the premium feel of the dealership.

From the sculpted exterior to the curated interior details, Genesis of Lake Norman represents a new benchmark for the brand. The facility captures the essence of Genesis: modern luxury, meticulous craftsmanship, and timeless design.
