Progressive Companies has partnered with Kia Motors America (KMS) since the launch of the “Gallery” design program in 2012, and continues through the current Kia 2.0 CBS (Core Branding Standards) image program. This initiative followed Kia’s 2021 rebrand, introducing a new logo and the slogan “Movement That Inspires.” The updated dealership design strategy focuses on modernizing retail environments to reflect the brand’s evolving identity. Building on prior efforts like the Red Cube concept, the new aesthetic is more refined and premium, supporting Kia’s shift toward electrification and enhanced customer experiences.
In collaboration with clients, Progressive Companies guides the design process alongside KMS, design partners, and preferred vendors to ensure smooth and accurate implementation of the brand’s vision.
Hatfield Kia, Columbus, OH
In partnership with longtime client Sonic Automotive, Progressive Companies developed the Hatfield Kia dealership under the Gallery program, focusing on innovation and customer-centered design. This 30,000 square-foot facility embodies Kia’s dedication to high-quality vehicles and service while delivering a distinctive, engaging customer experience.
The showroom, naturally illuminated and spacious enough for five vehicles, provides a premium atmosphere and flows directly into a 16-bay service area. A large interior glass window into the service department reinforces transparency, allowing customers to watch technicians at work and promoting confidence in the service process.
Kia Smithfield, Smithfield, NC
For Mills Automotive Group, Progressive Companies redesigned a 19,000 square-foot former Ford dealership to meet Kia’s 2.0 CBS standards. The renovation improved both customer-facing and operational areas across two floors, enhancing the experience for visitors and staff alike.
The upgraded facility features a vehicle display area, service write-up space, offices, and an enclosed service reception for six vehicles. Additional improvements include a refreshed showroom, new car delivery area, modernized offices and consultation spaces, a welcoming customer lounge, employee breakroom, multipurpose room, and expanded parts storage.
The service area received updated finishes, mechanical system evaluations, and new equipment to boost functionality. These projects highlight Progressive Companies’ ongoing role in redefining automotive retail, delivering dealership environments that embody Kia’s forward-looking brand and exceptional service values.
