In the heart of South Charlotte, NC, Progressive Companies took on the challenge of crafting a distinctive landmark in the burgeoning neighborhood of Ballantyne Village. Tasked with creating a "landmark architectural statement," our team conceived a mixed use development that would combine Main Street principles with Art Deco allure. Main Street buildings feature ground-level retail and sidewalk dining, leading to the iconic "Crown"- a three-story glass tower housing a multi-level movie theater. Lit with dynamic LED lighting, the Crown stands as a recognizable anchor, casting vibrant hues across the plaza. Ballantyne Village encompasses housing, office, and retail spaces, with integrated parking decks. The master plan hints at future developments, including a rooftop terrace adorned with gardens atop the Crown and two 14-story residential towers with lower-level retail and office spaces.
