In partnership with Gilbane Development Company, the new Lakeview and Westview Student Apartments bring over 700 beds to campus through a transformative public-private initiative. These communities are designed to enhance the residential experience, build student connections, and support EMU’s long-term growth beyond housing.

Lakeview offers a peaceful, wellness-focused setting overlooking Lake House Pond, an ideal spot for quiet reflection in the heart of campus. Westview brings a unique energy and vibrancy that anchors the athletic district with a dynamic plaza and planning that anticipates future expansion. Together, they emphasize livability, identity, and adaptability to enrich the student experience at every level.

Strategically positioned to overlook the 18th hole of Eagle Crest Golf Course, the 13,000-square-foot GameAbove Golf Performance Center is a transformative addition to EMU’s athletic facilities. The center provides both a high-performance training environment and a striking visual connection to the sport through panoramic views.


The facility sets a new standard for collegiate golf development in the Midwest by featuring a high-bay indoor short-game area for chipping and putting, full-swing simulators, and practice zones supporting continuous training regardless of season. This year-round accessibility not only enhances athlete performance but also enhances recruiting by giving EMU a competitive edge with top-tier amenities that will help recruit top golf talent from southern climates.
