Nestled in the heart of Ferris State University’s Big Rapids campus, the North Residence Hall transforms the on-campus experience for freshmen students. Designed to attract and retain new students, the residence hall places freshmen in the center of campus, just a short walk from major attractions. Key features include suite-style rooms, advanced technology, and a strong emphasis on community. Despite an accelerated 15-month timeline, the project was completed on time for the fall 2017 semester. The 124,000-square-foot building boasts 200 suite-style rooms (400 beds), three classrooms, a full community kitchen, a game area, and individual and group study spaces. This $22 million project ensures a vibrant and engaging environment for students.
