Pitt Community College Center for Student Advancement

Progressive Companies was hired by Pitt Community College to design the Eddie & Jo Allison Smith Building for Student Advancement Center, a space designated to celebrate student achievement and provide a central location for many of its student service programs.

The 29,000 square foot building contains a 3,000 square foot event space on the first floor that can be divided into two separate rooms as well as a smaller meeting that can serve as a pre-function space.  The second floor provides an array of administrative and student affairs offices including the Student Resource Center, Vision’s Center, Veteran’s Center, and Student Scholarship Offices. The event room will be used for Convocation Ceremonies and the annual Academic Excellence Awards Program.

The Student Advancement Center at Pitt Community College will serve as collection of event and multipurpose spaces to celebrate student achievements and provide a central location for many of its student service programs. The building consists of a 5,000 square foot event space that is sub-dividable into two spaces, meeting spaces, veterans center, visions center, trustee board room, and administrative offices.
