Steven C. Ender Hall, a historic building at the DeVos Campus of Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC), underwent a transformative renovation in 2020 to become a student-focused resource hub. Despite years of various tenants and uses that had obscured the building's original character, Progressive Companies worked diligently to uncover the building's historic attributes and incorporate them into the new programs designed to provide students with access to technology, experiential learning, student employment services, and other resources necessary for their success.

The collaboration between Progressive, GRCC, and the Historic Preservation Commission resulted in a landmark renovation of the house's main, second, and third floors. The project also included careful installation of an elevator and new external ramp to provide barrier-free access. Steven C. Ender Hall was awarded LEED Gold Certification for Commercial Interior Design and won Outstanding Design for Historic Preservation in America School and University’s 2021 Architectural Portfolio.
