UNC Health Eastowne Medical Office Building

UNC Health commissioned Progressive Companies to lead the design teamfor UNC Eastowne, the first six-story medical office building and 1,100-carparking structure on the new 48-acre campus in Chapel Hill. The medical officebuilding houses specialty practices such as cardiology, pulmonary,endocrinology, hematology, and more, along with a urology clinic, outpatientimaging, and a laboratory. Other amenities include a café kiosk and retailpharmacy.

The UNC Health Eastowne campus is a destination site designed to providea calming experience for its guests and an uplifting work environment for itsemployees. Situated along the 15-501 corridor, the campus is an appealingaddition to the experience of all traveling in and out of Chapel Hill, and itslocation optimizes visibility to create a welcoming, urban gateway for theproject and the Town. Using structured parking, the initial developmentminimizes its footprint and associated impervious surface area to allow a morecompact, walkable campus with open and green spaces.
