In collaboration with pork producer Smithfield Foods, Progressive Companies worked to optimize operations across the company's Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast distribution centers. Our industrial design team played a crucial role in developing innovative solutions, with a particular focus on the newest and most advanced facility in the Northeast. Through extensive sessions with Smithfield, Progressive formulated priorities for the project, ensuring that the new distribution center elevated sustainability, enhanced productivity, reduced costs through improved processes, prioritized safety, increased throughput for revenue growth, and safeguarded product quality and value. This strategic approach represents a significant step forward for Smithfield Foods in achieving their goals and maintaining excellence across their complex network.
