Impact By Design: 2026 Annual Report

The built environment shapes so much of our lives; how people heal, learn, move, work, and gather. As architects, engineers, and designers, we hold this responsibility close. It’s the reason this work matters to us, and it sets the high standard we hold ourselves to every day.

We’re excited to share our first Impact report. While we have been working toward the goals in this document for some time, we are sharing this with you now because we believe accountability is part of good design. Not accountability as a checkbox, but the kind that asks hard questions, tracks real outcomes, and uses what it learns to do better. That’s the culture we’ve built at Progressive Companies, and this report is a reflection of it.

What you’ll find here is an honest look at the progress we’ve made across ecological, social, and cultural impact. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and the lessons we’ve earned along the way. We’re also energized by the work still ahead.

Climate, equity, and the pace of change present real challenges for the built environment.  

But with challenge comes opportunity. We have the unique opportunity to influence how communities are built for future generations. That’s a responsibility we take seriously and a possibility we find genuinely exciting.
