Solomon Award Winner: Best Church Design-Expansion

The Solomon Awards is such a well-known and well-respected award program in the church market - recognizing churches and their partners for excellence in facilities design, building expansion or remodeling, operation excellence, innovative use, and technical production. In addition, the Solomon Awards recognizes churches of all sizes and are awarded by selected size categories and determined by Worship Facilities editors, Church Production Magazine editors, and members of the WFX Advisory Board and management team.Progressive AE was awarded the 2014 Solomon Award for Best Church Design-Expansion for its expansion and renovation work of Appleton Alliance Church’s existing ministry campus. The expansion included 1,800 seats in the sanctuary; doubling the children’s ministry space; enhancing the sports ministry with the addition of a sports complex; and a “third place” area for social connectivity.It was truly an honor to celebrate this project with Appleton Alliance Church and also our partner, Boldt Construction. Together we were successful in upholding Appleton Alliance Church's mission to connect people with God and one another. We believe the expansion and renovation brought the people and communities of Fox River Valley together, not only through a new worship space, but also through a sports and fitness facility, outstanding children’s spaces and a welcoming “Hub,” where people can inspire one another by strengthening growth in their faith.
