GRAND RAPIDS, MICH – (May 1, 2025) - Progressive Companies, a leading full-service architecture, engineering, and construction management firm, announced its acquisition of MHAworks, a respected North Carolina-based architectural firm. Building on a longtime presence in Charlotte, NC, this acquisition aligns with Progressive Companies' broader growth strategy in the Carolinas market, adding MHAworks' expertise and regional reputation in Durham, Greenville, and Asheville to Progressive's comprehensive service offerings.
"This acquisition represents an exciting step for Progressive Companies as we continue to expand our footprint in the Southeast with a great team," said Meredith Bronk, President and CEO of Progressive Companies. Together, we can leverage Progressive's multidisciplinary resources while maintaining the local relationships and specialized expertise our clients have come to trust."
Maxwell will assume the role of Regional Practice Leader and all other MHAworks leadership team members and employees will remain with the organization under Progressive Companies’ ownership.
The acquisition will expand Progressive Companies' presence in North Carolina, complementing its existing Charlotte office with MHAworks' established locations. Clients of both firms will benefit from enhanced service offerings, broader expertise, and increased resources for projects of all scales.
